Flying the Kitemark™

Melba Swintex is Flying the Kitemark™

During the past few months, Melba Swintex has had its Traffic Cone range put through tough and vigorous testing. These tests have been conducted by BSI, the national standards body of the United Kingdom, to the technical standards set out within their publications, these of which are recognised globally as the definition and guidelines of all Temporary Traffic Cones. Its now official we have the BSI Kitemark™ for our range of cones.

Melba Swintex Traffic Cones

As the standards published by the BSI are publicly available, any company can state claims of compliance to a standard for their product. However, these claims are often not validated by an independent organisation.

The Kitemark™ on the Melba Swintex Cone range gives you the complete reassurance that it is regularly tested by BSI and meets the requirements of the standard.

Our Starlite roadcone was brought out as a lighter, more economical road cone than its heavier counterparts the Mastercone and Bigfoot roadcones. As a road cone manufacturer this gave our customers a great choice of light, medium and heavy roadcones suitable for all types of roads and weather conditions. Sales of the Starlite have steadily grown over the years but showed a 33% increase in 2014 compared to 2012. This year shows similar sales and with no down turn in the  sales of Bigfoot and Mastercone the Starlite seems to have created a market all of its own.
